Plus subscriptions

Registered Free includes five combined photo and voice recognitions per calendar month, resetting on the first day at 00:00 UTC. Guests have five one-time attempts shared across photo, voice and barcode. Signing in makes barcode scanning unlimited. Previously used introductory attempts count toward the first Free monthly allowance. Signing out or resetting the diary does not replenish attempts. Unused monthly attempts do not roll over.

Plus is an optional monthly or annual subscription purchased through Apple. Both options provide the same features. The app shows the local price, billing period and any eligible free trial before you confirm with Apple. Annual subscriptions are charged in full for the year. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled through your Apple subscription settings.

Plus includes unlimited photo and voice recognitions from the first day, including any eligible seven-day introductory trial. There is no monthly recognition allowance to exhaust. Apple determines trial eligibility.

For guest and Free allowances, a new photo or voice recognition uses one attempt, including local recognition and a completed search that finds no product. Technical failures do not use an attempt. Retrying the same interrupted action does not use another attempt. Adding a saved product again is free. Manual entry and barcode scanning after sign-in remain free.

Cancellation and restoration

Manage or cancel renewal in your Apple subscription settings. Cancelling renewal preserves access until the confirmed expiry date. When Plus ends, your diary, saved products and free entry methods remain available. To restore a purchase, sign in to its original SugarNow account and choose Restore purchases in Settings or on the Plans page. You can open Apple's subscription management sheet from the app. Apple confirms the price and effective date of a plan change.

Switching between monthly and annual billing takes effect at the next renewal. Your current Plus access continues until then. Settings shows the confirmed next billing option and its start date. Changing billing periods does not restart or end an introductory trial early.

Deleting the app or your SugarNow account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel it separately through Apple. If you deleted the original SugarNow account, sign in again with the same Apple or Google login and choose Restore purchases. Recovery requires verification of the Apple purchase and the deleted account's login. Purchases belonging to another active account cannot be transferred. Deleted diary data is not restored. Contact support if recovery evidence is unavailable for an older deletion.
